Born from a 6-year love affair with Oddbird's beloved Ottoman Blanket, our newest addition is everything you loved (and collected!) in our staple Oddbird piece... but dare we say... now perfected?! 

Inspired by the ancient Iznik tile-work that meticulously canvases the historic mosques of Turkiye, our Mosaic Blanket features a modern interpretation of a traditional patchwork design, paying homage to Turkiye's long and illustrious history of this remarkable art form while honoring the boldness you loved in our original Ottoman!

Crafted ethically and sustainably, using the beloved weaving technique that made our Ottoman famous, our newest Oddbird layer checks every box we envisioned during the redesign.

Boasting a stunning weight akin to a light Kilim rug and a luxurious silk-like hand feel, this multifunctional heirloom layer is not only completely machine washable, perfect for both outdoor picnics and adding a touch of luxury to your home, but is also now offered in an enormous standard size!

Ethically-made in small batches and handwoven from a heavy-weight cotton blend on century-old shuttle looms in historic, Turkey. With a weight similar to a light Kilim rug, these blankets are completely machine washable, sturdy enough to take outdoors on family picnics yet are luxurious enough for use around the home to function as an eye-catching bedding layer or as a pop of color in any living room.

Please note that our beautiful handcrafted blankets are washed in a traditional Turkish soap right off the looms to eliminate any allergens that accumulate from the weaving process. The soap is scented with a fragrance that has been beloved by our community and part of the Oddbird brand for over 8 years.

The scent will slowly dissipate with laundering (which is often a sad day for our customers!) but may not be appropriate for those sensitive to fragrance.

Beautiful but wish it was bigger

By the description, I figured it was an oversized king bed blanket buts a little smaller. After asking I understand what they did but wish I would have known that ahead of ordering. It’s gorgeous and beautifully made. I just wish it was big enough to fit like a normal blanket would.

Blanket is pretty, nice colors, but doesn’t justify the price tag. I returned it.

Great blanket - odd size is a bummer

This is a beautifully made blanket but the odd size is frustrating. The width is too long for it to drape over a queen size bed like the pictures and video tutorial shows on a king size bed.

In regards to the size of the blanket, it appears that you have purchased a limited edition KING size, as noted in the listing title and description. Its pictured on King-sized beds as this is the recommended usage. This size is larger than our standard QUEEN/KING which is available in our 6 core colors. The standard blanket is perfect for use on Queen-sized beds and that listing has videos and images showing its usage and fit on a queen bed. Let us know if you would like to try that size!

Perfection!

This is my 4th mosaic blanket from Oddbird. They are all beautiful. I love the blue and black colorway. The comfort of my bed is a high priority for me. The weight and softness of this blanket is exactly what I want when I am sleeping. The quality of this blanket is high. I love having bedding that is different . Thank you Oddbird for keeping my home looking so interesting and beautiful!

Perfect on my king sized bed!

This is a lovely blanket! I have a couple of the smaller old ones and this one is a perfect fit on a king sized bed. Love it!
